“Shinesaeng Ad.Venture” Unveils the Forbidden-Sound Legend of “Whistle,” the Death Whistle, Set for 19 February

“Shinesaeng Ad.Venture” invites everyone to witness the ultimate terror of the horror film “Whistle” at its press screening, guaranteed by director Corin Hardy, who previously delivered chills in The Nun and now returns with a new dimension, elevating a legend of belief beyond the usual formula into horror driven by the power of a sound that creeps silently toward the audience. Get ready to uncover the truth on 19 February.

At the press screening, attendees experienced a kind of terror that changes the way they hear things forever, following the legend of the “Death-Calling Whistle” — the Aztec Death Whistle. Whoever blows it can never escape death; it’s a warning signal calling out death, perhaps a sound from the future. From a warning passed down by word of mouth to the unfolding events of a forbidden sound, the story gradually reveals what lies behind it, underscoring that curiosity can be more dangerous than any curse — because a single blow could open the door to disaster, and when the sound from hell comes calling, the final moment may be closer than you think.

Whistle begins with the story of a group of high-school friends who stumble upon the Aztec Death Whistle, an ancient object genuinely referenced in Aztec history, and try blowing it without realising that the sound will awaken their own future deaths and set them on the hunt. As events grow more violent and the death toll rises, they must race to uncover the origin of the cursed object and beat the clock to stop what they themselves set in motion, before it’s too late.

Or perhaps a single choice can change everything, when curiosity leads to something that should never be touched, in a story tied to an ancient legend and a forbidden object.

The film is directed by Corin Hardy of The Nun, with a production team from Longlegs and The Monkey, and a screenplay by Owen Egerton of Blood Fest and Mercy Blac

Starring Dafne Keen of Logan, Deadpool & Wolverine, Percy Hynes White of Wednesday, Sophie Nélisse of Yellowjackets, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, Sky Yang of Rebel Moon, Jhaleil Swaby of Supergirl, Ali Skovbye of Firefly Lane, Michelle Fairley of Game of Thrones, and Nick Frost of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Join the search for the truth behind the legend of the forbidden sound in Whistle, set to open in cinemas on 19 February 2026.
