Shinesaeng Ad.Venture presses forward, awakening every sense with a new poster for Ghost in the Cell, the latest horror-comedy from Joko Anwar, riding the wave of online buzz to get fans warmed up before experiencing the freshest horror atmosphere in every dimension, opening the door to be the first to feel the horror! Special screening with a talk session with director Joko Anwar
The film Ghost in the Cell’s reputation for horror has reached global proportions, holding its World Premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, one of the world’s leading international film festivals. After its release in Indonesia, it drew in over 154,279 viewers — a launch that turned heads, revealing an audience eager to put the film’s horror to the test from day one. The same is true in Thailand, where Ghost in the Cell has drawn ongoing interest from horror fans and followers of Joko Anwar’s work, ever since the first poster, thanks to its prison-set concept steeped in mystery amid a tense, foreboding atmosphere
As for this new poster, it reveals a prison atmosphere packed with chaos, boiling tension, and pressure from something ready to hunt everyone down, because this isn’t just a ‘prison’ — it’s a place that weeds the wicked out of the world. This prison doesn’t just hold inmates — it also holds a ‘ghost’ that chooses to kill people one by one
And before the film opens, Ghost in the Cell is set to open the door for film fans to be first to feel the horror at a SPECIAL SCREENING on 4 May 2026 at SFW CentralWorld, Screen 9, at 2:00 PM, with a special up-close talk session with director Joko Anwar. Anyone who buys a ticket to the special screening of Ghost in the Cell will receive, for every seat, a free official licensed poster from the film (1 per person, worth 159 baht), with tickets priced at 340 baht per seat. Tickets go on sale 24 April 2026 from 12:00 PM onward (terms and conditions apply as set by the company). Regular screenings begin 7 May 2026
Ghost in the Cell isn’t just a ghost film — it’s a signature style of horror that audiences across Asia have embraced as the work of Joko Anwar, Asia’s leading name in horror behind Satan’s Slaves and Impetigore, who this time returns with a new dimension of horror set within the world of a prison. 7 May, in cinemas
