“HOPE” Unveils Character Images After Creating a Box-Office Sensation in Korea

Shinesaeng Ad.Venture continues to reinforce its lineup of world-class quality films, responding to the momentum of HOPE, a blockbuster sci-fi thriller, by unveiling the first official character images of the lead characters, from the new work — the first in 10 years — by Na Hong-jin, director of THE WAILING, before taking audiences into a confrontation with a massive threat, on 9 September, in cinemas.

Previously, HOPE created a sensation from its very first day in South Korean cinemas, debuting at No. 1 at the Korean box office, and setting the record for the highest first-day admissions of any Korean film in 2026, before going on to surpass 1 million admissions in under 3 days, making it the fastest film released in 2026 to reach the million-admission mark.

The first set of character images unveils the 3 lead characters of HOPE, led by 3 of Korea's top actors, Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung and Jung Ho-yeon, inviting audiences to get to know the characters who must face an unimaginable threat. HOPE also brings together leading actors from Korea and Hollywood, including Taylor Russell, Cameron Britton, Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender.
